Activated charcoal's porous texture has a negative electrical charge which results in it attracting sportively charged molecules, such as toxins & gases. What is Activated Charcoal?
Activated Charcoal is a material that is produced from different carbon sources - when these carbon sources (such as olive pits, coconut shells & bamboo) are cooked at a really high temperature, a magical chemical reaction occurs! The high temperatures changes the internal structure, reducing the size of pores all while increasing the surface area. When this happens, all the harsh compounds disappear while a bunch of good compounds are added in all while being more porous than regular charcoal!
